PRESTIGE Double Doors
French doors originated in France during the 17th century in response to the need for more light and open space in a home. Symmetrical and with regular proportions, French doors rapidly became used for exterior doors and for openings onto small Juliette balconies.

RAL colour visualiser
RAL colours are available in both ColourTEK and powder coated finishes.
Please note that our ColourTEK system can reproduce any colour for our products, not only the trade colours displayed above.
Due to various reasons, an accurate virtual representation of a RAL colour is not always possible. Physical colour swatches have painted representations of colours, and these can be found at any PlatinumNRG dealer.

Referred to as ‘porte-fenêtre’ in France - which translates as window-door and means they are literally over-sized open-out casement windows. Hence our term, French doors!
French doors are still very popular today and are an ideal choice if you don’t have a large opening in the wall which lends itself to sliding or bifold doors. They can be used with or without side lights and, although they generally open out, it is perfectly possible to choose open in options depending on your indoor and outdoor space.
Thanks to the completely new Prestige design, the appearance of the windows, doors and bifold doors is continued.
Prestige windows, doors and bifolds, share the same aesthetic.
All Prestige door styles are Part L compliant ensuring there are no weak points in their thermal performance, whilst the insulated thresholds continue the clean, refined appearance with no visible fixings. Three threshold designs are available, all of which are Part M compliant and perfect for easy access and minimised trip hazards.
